Meet Laurel

Growing up in the Scenic City of Chattanooga, TN, Laurel developed a deep appreciation for the connection between food and well-being. She completed her undergraduate studies in 2018 at Sewanee: The University of the South, majoring in French and French Studies. She later obtained her Master’s degree in Exercise and Nutrition Science, and completed her Dietetic Internship at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN in 2023. Laurel is also a certified yoga teacher (RYT-200). Currently, she is working towards becoming a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. 

More About Laurel 

Her approach to nutrition counseling is through authenticity, compassion, and a commitment to individualized care. She uses a holistic and evidence-based approach, guiding clients toward sustainable lifestyle changes that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Her specialties include working with those needing guidance with eating disorders, disordered eating, chronic dieting, body image, neurodivergence, women’s health, and sports nutrition.

Meal Support Services

Ashton will work in conjunction with the client’s dietitian to ensure meal plan compliance and discontinue problematic food behaviors and rituals.

Train with Mary

Working directly with Mary while also completing master’s level coursework in counseling, candidates will build the clinical skills necessary to work with a variety of clients.
